He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Royce and Eleanor Royce; his son Richard Thomas Royce; and his siblings, Lester Royce and Joan Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia A. Royce; his children, Patti Royce, Mary E. Hartman (Douglas), John R. Royce, Donald A. Royce (Cheryl) and James Maynard Jr.; his grandchildren, Amy Warren (Keith), Grace Hartman, Ashley Dwyer, Elijah Royce and Trevor DiMarco (Libbie); and his great grandchildren, Bryce, Gavin, Wyatt Warren, Dominick and Alvirda DiMarco. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the New Comer Funeral Home (2636 Ridgeway Ave, Rochester, NY 14626). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
