He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Thornton and Angela Thornton; and his brother Randall Thornton. He is survived by: his close friend Edward Stringham; his daughters, Brooke Gribben (Greg) and Cynthia Thornton; and his siblings, Darryl Thornton (Elaine), Robert Thornton (Kathy) and Carole Thornton. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, 5 grandchildren, many extended family, and wonderful friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to Pluta Cancer Center Foundation in memory of Richard.
