He is survived by: his wife Lidia Martinescu; his sons, Eduard Martinescu (Candace), Theo Martinescu (Tracy) and Jeffrey Martinescu; his grandchildren, Zakary (Hallie Dems), Lindsay (Nick Ng), Megan (Dylan Thomas), Peter (Maggie), Elena and Lilly; and his brother Romeo Martinescu (Josie).

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to ADRA- Romanian Branch in his memory.
