Patricia Walsh Lane Obituary
Patricia (Walsh) Lane went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 22, 2024 in Rochester, New York. She was born on December 22, 1942, in Brooklyn, New York to the late Charles and Genevieve (McDonough) Walsh. Pat graduated from North Shore High School in Glen Head, New York and attended Fairleigh Dickinson University. She was retired from Catholic Charities of Onondaga County in Syracuse, New York. Pat was first and foremost a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and adored each of her grandchildren. Her life was a reflection of the Bible verse from St. Paul's first letter to the Corinthians, "Love never fails.".
Pat was predeceased by her husband Gerald, her sister Mary Carson, and her brothers Charles Walsh, Jr., Michael Walsh, and Richard Walsh. She is survived by her daughter Tara (Joseph) Preteroti of Gates, New York and her sons Michael-Sean (Karen) Lane of Sharon, Massachusetts, Brian (Tina) Lane of Amherst, New York, and Ian (Hua) Lane of Lexington, Massachusetts. She will be dearly missed by her ten grandchildren: Allison, Emily, and Mia Preteroti; Anya and Jack Lane; Rachel and Julia Lane; and Thomas, Sarah, and Emma Lane. Pat is also survived by her sister Susan (William) Belfiore; her sisters-in-law Maureen Walsh, Marcia Walsh, and Pat Walsh; and her brother-in-law Thomas (Kathy) Lane as well as her many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Theodore's Catholic Church, 168 Spencerport Road in Gates, New York on Saturday, October 12, at 9:30AM with inurnment immediately following at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Rochester, New York.
