Morgan Arthur Smith Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Morgan Arthur Smith of Rochester, New York, born in Batavia, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 9, 2024 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Morgan is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Morgan's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Smith and Joan Smith. He is survived by: his spouse Lynae; his son Mike Christman (Elyse Fredericks); his grandson Wesley Christman; his godfather Steve Merowsky; and his godsons, Eric Berardi and Elliott Markle. He is also survived by his five sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 10:00 AM and at 11:30 AM at the Saint John the Baptist Orthodox Church (855 S Goodman St, Rochester, NY 14620). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Newport Yacht Club (694 Seneca Rd, Rochester, NY 14622).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Saint John the Baptist Orthodox Church at 855 S. Goodman St. Rochester, NY 14620.
