He was predeceased by: his former wife Josephine [Pizzo] Swartz; his granddaughter Victoria Brown; and his parents, Hyman Swartz and Sadye [Elenzwaig] Swartz. He is survived by: his wife Sheila [Phillips] Swartz; his children, Ann Marie Hardy (Barry), Sheryl Ann Brown (Mark) and Hyman Swartz; his stepsons, John Walega and Christopher Walega; his granddaughters, Kathleen Keesee and Kristine Brogan (Andrew); his stepgrandchildren, Lucas Walega and Myla Walega; his great grandchildren, Maddalyn, Gabriel and Lorraine; his stepgrandchild Xira; and his siblings, Charles Swartz (Madeline), Elaine Edith Swartz, Michael Swartz (Lynda), Arthur Swartz (Dawn Ann), Marvin Swartz (Marian) and Leonard Lee Swartz (Mary). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Temple Beth El (139 Winton Rd, Rochester, NY 14610).
