With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lorene Phillips (Rochester, New York), born in Atlanta, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 3, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her sister Corinne Phillips; her children, Bobby Bernard Grimes and Harriette; and her brother Louis Phillips Jr.. She is survived by: her spouse Willie Lewis Grimes; her children, Curtis Phillips (Deniece), Phillisene Grimes, Deborah Inise Archie, Willie Jerome Grimes (Sandra) and Kenneth Carl Grimes; and her siblings, Eddie Louise Sutton, Lewis Phillips III, Patricia McFadden, Hollis Phillips and Isaac Phillips. She is also survived by Seven children, eighteen grand-children and forty-four great grand-children.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Genesis Baptist Church (292 Hudson Ave, Rochester, NY 14605-2125). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
