She was predeceased by: her husband Jake; her siblings, Harold Smith (Grace), Laura Hardin (Shields), Helen Drosky (Paul), Evelyn Johnson (Floyd), Bertha Smith and Beatrice Smith; and her grandson Scott DeVuyst.
She is survived by: her children, James DeVuyst of Vancouver and Ruth Schaeffer; her foster son Merle Dingman (Ann); her grandchildren, Danielle DeVuyst, Daniel and Michael Schaeffer; her great grandchildren, Riley DeVuyst, Payton and Angelina Schaeffer; and her nieces and nephews, Lois Adrian (Chuck), Tom Smith (Marylou), Kay Smith (John), Bob Smith (Judy), Laurena Fisher (Bob), David Hardin (Nancy), Alan Hardin, Norma Drosky, Ray Drosky (Karen), Brian Drosky (Rosemary) and Wayne Drosky (Donalda).
