Edward C. Swartzenberg Sr. Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edward C. Swartzenberg Sr. (Rochester, New York), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 9, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Swartzenberg and Ruth Swartzenberg; and his siblings, Janet Kane (Fred), William Swartzenberg (Barbara) and John Swartzenberg (Laura).
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen; his children, Edward (Margaret) and Carrie Capostagno (Justin Parkhurst); his grandchildren, Jacob Capostagno, Eleanor Swartzenberg, Benjamin Capostagno, Corporal Jonathan Swartzenberg, Grace Capostagno, Michael Swartzenberg and Lance Corporal Harrison Swartzenberg; his brother Joseph (Mary Ellen); and his sister-in-law Laura. He is also survived by many in-laws, and several generations of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Chili American Legion Post 1830 (450 Scottsville-Chili Rd, Scottsville, NY 14546).
In lieu of flowers, take a kid fishing, teach them to shoot and enjoy the little things in life.
