He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Keirn and Glenna Keirn; and his son-in-law Scott Parris. He is survived by: his wife Joan; his daughters, Becky Bubel (Roger), Jennifer Dirks (Robert) and Erin Parris; his stepchildren, Andrew Richards (Danna) and Nicole Hawks (Dave); his siblings, Chuck Keirn (Eileen) and Linda Callahan (Tom); and his grandchildren, Racheal, Brittany, Cameron, Caden, Jonathan, Emma, Madison and Amberly. He is also survived by numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many friends.
