He was predeceased by: his son Randal. He is survived by: his wife Janet; his children, David Jr. (Susan) and Jill Valle (William); his daughter-in-law Christine Baker-Marriage (Rob); and his sister Sharon Sullivan. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; special godson.

A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church (4536 St Paul Blvd, Irondequoit, NY 14617). The military honors was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 11:45 AM at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery (2461 Lake Ave, Rochester, NY 14612).
