He was predeceased by: his father Martin Slater; and his grandparents, William, Mildred Levine, Jack and Myra Slater.

He is survived by: his mother Barbara Levine Slater; his sister Marcy Slater O'Donnell; his daughters, Ryan Olivia, Arlie Kate and Clover Quinn Slater; the parent of his children Shelyn Iaia Slater; his close friend Jessica Lipsky; his pet Moses; and also Sydney. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, a community of friends.

In lieu of flowers donations In his honor can be made to the Equicenter of Rochester at the Mildred and William Levine Ranch, 3247 Rush Mendon Rd, Honeoye Falls, NY 14472.
