He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Kaplan and Rifka Rotenberg Kaplan; his stepmother Blanche Rinzler Kaplan; his sister Dvorah Kaplan; and his grandson Ezra Kaplan.
He is survived by: his wife Daryl Salzman Kaplan; his sons, Jeffrey and Robert (Rebecca); his grandchildren, Eitan Kaplan, Aviva Kaplan, Rafi Kaplan and Ross Kaplan; his siblings-in-law, Marc Salzman and Betti Salzman; and his stepbrother Dennis Rinzler.
