She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Johnson and Daisy McFadden Johnson-Singletary; and her son Roy Dukes. She is survived by: her child Jessie Mae; her husband Jessie Theron Dukes; her daughter Karen Dukes; her siblings, Marion Johnson (Helen) of Florence, SC and Elizabeth Lightly of Florence, SC; her sisters-in-law, Stella Bennett, Mary Lee Dukes (Rochester), Elmira Dukes of Kingstree, SC and Ida Johnson; and her close friends, Olga Jackson and Denise Gibert. She is also survived by Fifteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Metropolitan Funeral Chapels, Inc. (109 West Ave, Rochester, NY 14611). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
