He was predeceased by: his wife Rita Sweet; his son Michael Sweet; and his sisters, Jean Smith, Joan Hull and Ellen LaMont.
He is survived by: his children, Betty Stevens (Mark), Jo Ann DeBuck (Fred), Culleen Zachmeyer (Robert), Ronald Sweet, Beverly Nichols (Tommy) and Deborah DeVries; and his siblings, Bruce Arva and Susanne Dunsford (Steven).
