He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Block and Sophie [Zalomek] Block; and his brother Glen Block. He is survived by: his wife Maivor [Knutas] Block; his daughter Karina Block (Robert VanFleet); his grandchildren, Christina Rathburn (Robert), Sarah Williams (Ryan), Zachary Barker (Emmalee Dye) and Robert VanFleet; his great grandchild Viktor Rathburn; and his sister Gloria Barnes (Gordon). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and dear friends.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Interfaith Chapel at Brighton Memorial Chapel (3325 S Winton Rd, Rochester, NY 14623).
Donations may be made to a charity of one's choice in Bernard's memory.
