She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Trantham and Mary Lee Trantham; the father of her children Victor Bates; and her children, Vicki Shepard, Vandi Fricke (Alan) and V. Fred Bates.
She is survived by: her children, Valeri Silpoch (William), Vaughn Bates (Edna), Marilee Taylor (Robert Cole) and Staci Bathurst (Eric); and her children-in-law, Larry Shepard and Marlene Bates. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren & great-great-grandchildren; 2 sisters; 1 brother; nieces & nephews.
