He was predeceased by: his daughter Susan Ross; his brother Eric Alexander; and his parents, Frederick J. Alexander II and Beverly L. Alexander. He is survived by: his wife Irene Alexander; his daughters, Brigitte Alexander and Veronica Taraszewski (James); his brothers, Dean Alexander (Linda) and Scott Alexander (Joan); his granddaughters, Kristy Keating (Robert Keating III) and Korrin Schofield; his great grandchildren, Hannah Spink, Nicholas Trombly, Logan Foster, Sophia Keating, Olivia Keating, Vivien Keating and Robert Keating IV; and his siblings-in-law, Michael Lankau (Margaret), Albert Lankau, Patrick Lankau (Kathleen) and Mary Huggins (Jack).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM at the Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home (406 E Main St, Riverhead, NY 11901). A prayer was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Calverton National Cemetery (210 Princeton Blvd, Calverton, NY 11933-1031).
Frederick J. Alexander, III will be remembered not only for his contributions to law enforcement but also for the profound love he had for his family and the strength of character he exemplified throughout his life.
