We bid farewell to Francis J. Palamara of Riverhead, New York, born in Brooklyn, New York, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 27, 2025 at the age of 99. He was predeceased by: his former wives, Dorothy Palamara (Dede) and Mary Sposato; his parents, Joseph Palamara and Marie Palamara; and his sister Marie Gadbois.
He is survived by: his wife Virgina Nolan; and his children, Mary Ann Gessner (Bob), J. Francis Palamara, Diane Trupia (Peter), Thomas J. Palamara (Laura Chiomastro), Ann Malone (Michael), Louise Sullivan (John), Marie Beattie and Roberta Carnes. He is also survived by grandfather to his thirty (30) grandchildren as well as a devoted great-grandfather to his forty three (43) great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home (406 E Main St, Riverhead, NY 11901). A Mass will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the St. John the Evangelist R. C. Church - Riverhead (546 St Johns Pl, Riverhead, NY 11901). The inurnment will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Holy Rood Cemetery (111 Old Country Rd, Westbury, NY 11590).
