It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Edwards in Riverhead, New York, who passed away on September 23, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Barbara departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Barbara may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Barbara leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Alfred Henderson and Emogene Marion Cash Henderson; and her brother Kenneth Alfred Henderson. She is survived by: her husband Raymond Kent Edwards; and her children, Carol Edwards Schwasnick, Craig Henderson Edwards and Erin Edwards.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Bryant Funeral Home (411 Old Town Rd, Setauket- East Setauket, NY 11733).
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Barbara's memory may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Port Jefferson, NY, honoring her commitment to her faith and community.
