We are sad to announce that on September 18, 2024, at the age of 86, Helen F. Peterson of Rifton, New York, born in Brooklyn, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Lackey and Helen Brett Lackey; her husband Robert H. Peterson Sr.; and her siblings, Charles Lackey and Jane Courselle.

She is survived by: her children, Donna Russo (Daniel), Patricia Cox (Harry) of Rifton, Sandra Garcia of Concord, NC and Robert H. Peterson Jr. (Sandy) of St. Remy; her grandchildren, Jessica Heissenbuttel (Jerome) of Esopus, Jackie Evangelista (Joe) of Kingston, Daniel Russo Jr. of St. Remy, Brittany Cox of Kingston, Jennifer Cox of Highland, Nicholas Garcia, Kaila Garcia, Matthew Garcia of Kingston, Anthony Peterson of Kingston, Ashley Peterson, Marcayla Eckert of Kingston and Jaime Peterson of Saugerties; her close friend Lorraine Merrihew of St. Remy; and her caregiver Gloria Culver. She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren.
