She was predeceased by: her parents, English D. Harris and Bernice I. Harris; her husband Johnny B. Penn Jr.; and her siblings, Ouida Harrell and Curtis "Jack" Harris.

She is survived by: her daughter Natasha Penn; and her siblings, Vernita Allen (Charles) of Lugoff, SC, Nora Ballard of Lugoff, SC, Akili "Vickye" Harris of Lugoff, SC and Horace Harris (Linda). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law and friends.
