He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Amal Makaryus; his siblings, Abouna Antonios Makaryus (Samia Makaryus) and Dr. Amir Makaryus (Nahed Makaryus); his children, Dr. Amgad, Dr. John Makaryus (Nancy Rizkalla Makaryus) and Dr. Mary Makaryus (Mark Wassif); his grandchildren, Daniel, Michael, Joseph, Maria, Nathaniel, Theodore, Emily and David; and his nieces and nephews, Mirey, Dr. Rany and Dr. Mina Makaryus.
