It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peter M. Sgambati of Ridge, New York, born in Amsterdam, New York, who passed away on January 26, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Chiarina Sgambati and Stephen Sgambati; his sisters, Dominica Iavarone (Nicholas) of Mechanicville and Anna Waldynski (Ed) of Amsterdam; and his brothers-in-law, Henry Repka of Broadalbin and Andrew Santabarbara of Rotterdam.
He is survived by: his daughter Cathy; his wife Adeline; his children, Catherine Vyverberg (Wesley) of Rochester and Steven Sgambati (Mary Ann) of Clifton Park; his grandchildren, Daniel Vyverberg (Jennifer) of Tyler, Joseph Vyverberg (Ryley) of Rochester, Steven Vyverberg of Rochester, Jessica and Alyssa Sgambati of Clifton Park; his great grandchild Patricia Jo Vyverberg of Tyler, Texas; his sisters, Jennie Orapello (Mike) of Amsterdam and Carmella Repka of Rochester; and his brother-in-law Angelo Santabarbara (Betty) of Rotterdam. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
