It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James J. Dunn of Ridge, New York, who passed away on January 8, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though James may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his wife Eileen F. Dunn; his son James J. Dunn Jr.; and his parents, James J. Dunn and Regina Wright. He is survived by: his daughter Jamie Woodard (Jeffrey); his grandchildren, Robert, Samantha, Alyssa, Joseph and Shannon; and his great grandchild Netta.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mangano Family Funeral Home of Middle Island (640 Middle Country Rd, Middle Island, NY 11953). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM at the St. Marks RC Church (105 Randall Rd, Shoreham, NY 11786). The inurnment was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Calverton National Cemetery (210 Princeton Blvd, Calverton, NY 11933-1031).
