It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gertrude Louise Carpenter of Ridge, New York, born in Troy, New York, who passed away on August 6, 2022, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Irving O. Cross and Mary Louise Cross (Dickson); her husband Robert P. Carpenter; her daughter Mary Elizabeth Carpenter (David Sparr); and her brother Irving Milton Cross (Dorothy).
She is survived by: her children, Judith Rice (Eric) and Andrew C. Carpenter (Betty James); her grandchildren, Allison Mc Dermott (Gregory), Hallie, Ryan McDermott, Brendan and Blakelee Rice; and her sister Eleanor Dreskin (Cross). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
