He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Hungershafer (Ague) and Lamont Hungershafer Sr.; and his wife Lois Joanne Hungershafer. He is survived by: his children, John Hungershafer (Cheryl) of Voorheesville and Sue Roerig (John) of Ballston Lake; his granddaughters, Emily Roerig and Gina Hungershafer; his great grandchildren, Christina Rose Derusso, Joseph Michael Keefe IV and Viviana Keefe; and his brother Lamont Hungershafer Jr. of Guilderland. He is also survived by friends, relatives, and extended family.
