It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Guernsey Sr. of Richmondville, New York, who passed away on August 5, 2021, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Guernsey and Roseanna Therrian Guernsey; and his siblings, Lula Wilday, Alice Keyser, Wellington (Buster), Frank, Leon, Charles and Earnest Guernsey.
He is survived by: his spouse Isabel Cupps Guernsey; his children, Sharon Thompson (late David), Robert Marcia, Sandy Nirschl, Donna Somers (Digger), Nancy Kniskern (Dan), Richard Guernsey, Dennis Guernsey (Dana) and Tracy Cobb; his grandchildren, Keith Thompson (Daphne), Denise Nirschl, Dawn Cousineau, Thomas Thompson (Traci), Michael Nirschl (Tonya), Matthew Nirschl (Doriann), Douglass Somers Jr. (Kristin), Aaron Thompson, Lance Kniskern, Timothy Guernsey (Jennifer), Chad Kniskern (Clarissa), Renee Swartout (Christopher), Carrie Eastman (Bob), Kristen Treen (Fred), Kelly Guernsey, Jessica Johnston (Stevie), Jason Guernsey and Nadine Guernsey; his stepgrandchildren, Aaron Rathbun, Jessie Rathbun and Melissa Althiser (Ray); and his siblings, Rose Marie Gergich and Paul Guernsey. He is also survived by 24 great grandchildren and 7 step great grandchildren as well several nieces and nephews.
