He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Mary Neary and Jones; his wife Melodie "Dee" Neary (Harmon); his children, Eamonn Neary (Jenny), Meghan Neary and Brendan Neary (Lauren Joaquin); his grandchildren, Ronan Neary and Riley Neary; his siblings, John Neary (Chris), Thomas Neary (Susie Dupre), Edward Neary (Mary Jean) and Christopher Neary (Debbie); his sister-in-law Mary Neary; his parents-in-law, Jack and Ardeth Harmon; his brother-in-law Jack Harmon (Pam); his nieces and nephews, Brian, Jason, Stephan, Tim, Chris, Eileen, Theresa, Karen, Sheila, Sean, Kara, Devin, Conor, Ed, Dan, Katie, Patrick, Shannon, Kelly, Justin and Matthew; and his siblings, Catherine Fischer and James Neary.
Most recently, he provided guidance to the New York City Office of Emergency Management for the COVID-19 pandemic operations response.
