He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter F. Olmsted and Olive Tainter Olmsted; his wife Beverly Crego; his daughter Mary Lee Olmsted; and his sister Shirley Casler.
He is survived by: his daughter Brenda Petty of Woodgate; his brother Walter Olmsted, Jr. of Arizona; his grandchildren, Michael Petty and Elizabeth Petty-Cardenas; his great grandchild Tabitha Cardenas; and also, Melanie, Don Bruce, Randy, Connie Christian, Charlotte, Steve Plows, Marie, Vincent Guerra, Donna, Ross Jones and Wayne. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
