He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Rhyde and Ester Rhyde (Pope) of Richfield Springs; and his brother Donald Rhyde. He is survived by: his wife Barbra Rose Johnson; his brother Douglas Rhyde; and his daughter Vicky Mead. He is also survived by Several nieces and nephews.
