She was predeceased by: her parents, John Lieske and Bernice Starkie; her stepfather Richard Starkie Jr.; and her brother Richard Starkie III. She is survived by: her husband Peter Van Etten; her sons, Chad Martin (Andrea) and Casey Martin (Sarah); her grandchildren, Tessa, Jameson and Abigail; and her siblings, Jay Lieske (Donna), Shelley Sakellariou (Christos) and Tammy Firmbach (Karl). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Jill's name to the National MS Society in honor of her enduring strength and compassion.
