He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Cookingham and Katherine Cookingham (Pells); his wife Dorothy Hoss; and his brother Charles Cookingham. He is survived by: his brother Gerhardt; his sister-in-law Ingeborg Hoss of Red Hook, NY; and his nieces and nephews, William Mead (Lelia) of Germantown, NY, Ernest Stutzbach (Maureen) of Poughkeepsie, NY, Helen Patero (Joseph) of Poughkeepsie, NY, Doris Werbil (Gary) of North Carolina, Gertrude Balog (John) of North Carolina, Richard Hoss (Lynda) of Highland Mills, NY, Robert Hoss (Linda) of Carlisle, PA, Timothy Hoss (Renee) of Greenlawn, NY and Elizabeth Eaton (David) of Columbus, OH. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
