With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John O. Alberg of Rhinebeck, New York, born in Poughkeepsie, New York, who passed away on September 4, 2024 at the age of 79. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John O. Alberg to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Thorvald Alberg and Margaret Alberg; his wife Judy Walberg; his brothers, Kenneth and Jackie; and his son John Jr..

He is survived by: his children, Margaret (Darryl), Daniel (Christa), Lisa (Nick) and Jennifer (Patrick); his grandchildren, Brandon, Alec, Pierce, Kayla, Emily, Michael and Kristen; and his sisters, Patricia and Susan. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, September 12th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Dapson Chestney Funeral Home (51 W Market St, Rhinebeck, NY 12572). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service was held on Friday, September 13th 2024 at 11:35 AM at the Rhinebeck Cemetery (3 Mill Rd, Rhinebeck, NY 12572).
