He was predeceased by : his parents, John and Tina; and his brothers, John, Pete and Jimmy.

He is survived by : his wife Janette Dooney; his son Gregory Dooney; his siblings, Barbara Dooney and Glen Dooney; and his mother-in-law Elfriede Frankenberry.

Visitation was held on Saturday, June 22nd 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Yorktown Funeral Home (945 E Main St, Shrub Oak, NY 10588). A Mass was held on Saturday, June 22nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church (1377 E Main St, Shrub Oak, NY 10588).
