He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Maier and Elsie Hazel Maier (Creek); and his siblings, Wanda Mae Silber (Maier) and Ronald G. "Sonny" Maier. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Maier (Brittingham); his daughters, Sherrill Renee Maier and Angela Joyce Lore (Keith); his siblings, John F. Maier (Martha) and Joyce Ann Ditzer (Dan); his grandchildren, Justin Barber and Samantha Paige Lore; and his great grandchild Damion Barber. He is also survived by his family and friends.
One of his favorite ways to relax while on the road was to make small donations to local casinos.
