He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Sampson and Mary Greta Sampson (McCormick); his son Mark Sampson; his siblings, Duane McCormick, Karen Cox and Judith Burns; and his close friend Charles "Chuck" England.
He is survived by: his wife Jo-Ann Sampson of Rexville; his children, Steve Sampson (Karen Meyers) of Hornell, Kevin Sampson (Jessica) of Andover and Mary Schrader (Louis) of Friendship; his mother-in-law Gloria Stoyko of Rexville; and his brothers-in-law, Butch Cox of Niagara Falls and Pete Burns of Niagara Falls. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, four nieces, a nephew, and several close cousins.
