With profound sadness, we say goodbye to William Sheldon of Rensselaer, New York, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. William left this world on February 4, 2025 at the age of 80, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren Sheldon and Grace Darrigo Sheldon; and his siblings, Elise Brady, Warren Sheldon (Mary) and Harry Sheldon, Sr. (Vince Sheldon).
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ann Sheldon; his children, William H. Sheldon, Jr. (Cheryl), Ann M. Sheldon (Buddy) and Laura T. Sheldon-Diggs (Shaun); his grandchildren, William Sheldon (Anna), Michael Sheldon, Kristina Sheldon, David Sheldon (Nia), Danny Sheldon (Desiree), Jonathan Diggs and Victoria; and his sister Jennie N. Clifton Mercer (Shirley Peters). He is also survived by many great grandchildren, niece and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the W. J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home (1700 Washington Ave, Rensselaer, NY 12144). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the same location.
