With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Roland Widmer (Rensselaer, New York), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 21, 2024 at the age of 67. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Kurt Widmer and Denise Widmer. He is survived by: his significant other Michele; his children, Christopher Widmer (Danielle) and Katelynn Meppen (Tim); his grandchildren, Angelina, Nicolette, Jordyn, Grayson and Jackson; and his sisters, Marilyn Widmer (Michael) and Heidi Yetto (David). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the W. J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home (1700 Washington Ave, Rensselaer, NY 12144). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Bloomingrove Cemetery.
