With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sophie Soltys (Remsen, New York), born in Utica, New York, who passed away on July 17, 2021 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Mussision-Dobrodziej and Joanna Mussision-Dobrodziej; her husband Steven Soltys; her daughter Shelia Soltys; and her siblings, Arthur, Raymond (Matt) and Dorothy.
She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Denise DeCicco of Utica, Diane Phelan (Robert) of Utica, Richard Dobrodziej of Utica, Peter Sebastian (Karen) of Rome, Jeffrey Sebastian (Georgianna) of Plattsburgh, Brian Sebastian (Lynn), Louisianna, Gregg Sebastian (Cheryl) of Barneveld and Bart Sebastian (Sheri) of Saratoga Springs; and her cousin Millie Szeluga of Buffalo.
Memorial contributions in her name may be made to St. Leo's Church, Holland Patent.
