He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Hummel and Pearl Kull Hummel; his son Andrew Hummel; and his siblings, Joseph, Paul, Marlin Hummel and Pearl Reedy.
He is survived by: his wife Marion Burns; his sons, Mark Hummel (Jeanne) and David Hummel (Rita) of Remsen; his grandchildren, Jeremy Hummel, Robert Hummel (Susan), Kirsten Hummel, Travis Wickham (Holly) and Tayah Hummel; his great grandchildren, Logan, Deegan and Georgia; and his siblings, Clifford Hummel (Joyce), Arlin Hummel (Dolores), Jimmy Hummel (Joyce), Suzanne Knopp and Coralee Reggatire (Bob). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
