She was predeceased by: her parents, Betty Ballenzweig (Appel) and Pincus Ballenzweig; her husband Leon Cooper; her siblings, Rose (Don Kreiswirth), Pearl (Stan Robin) and Howard Ballenzweig; her niece Rachel Ballenzweig; her nephew Mark Robin; and her former husband Sanford Schenfeld.

She is survived by: her children, Phyllis Campbell of Forest Hills, NY, Debra Palandro (Gary) of Westbury, NY, Kenneth Schenfeld of Rego Park, NY, Harriet Nuzie (Bruce) of Melville, NY, Paul Schenfeld (Maureen) of Easton, CT and Helaine Gendason (Ari) of Stamford, CT; her grandchildren, Lori Campbell, Paula Rabe (Dan), Anthony Palandro (Christine), Ashley Wachtel (Alec), Adam Nuzie (Samantha), Ian Nuzie (Brooke), Erica Nuzie, Catherine, Patricia Schenfeld, Bailey, Skyler and Peyton Gendason; her great grandchildren, Brianna Perez, Alexis, Tyler Rabe, Blake, Ella Nuzie, Alice, Millie Nuzie, Jackson and Mackenzie Wachtel; and her sister-in-law Susan Beckerman.
