He was predeceased by: his brothers, Daniel, William, Churchill, James and Michael; his son Christopher Mark Griffin of Rhinebeck; and his son-in-law Paul Crockett of Rhinebeck.

He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Hefferman Griffin of Red Hook; and his children, Scott Griffin of Rhinebeck and Elizabeth Crockett of Nevis.
