He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Sr and Elsie Hales Sr. (Hornbeck). He is survived by: his spouse Lucille Rockwell; his sons, David Hales (Fumiko) of New York, NY and Robert Hales (Cora) of Germantown, NY; his grandchildren, Johnathan Hales of New York, NY, Ayaka Hales of Hudson, NY and Aurora Hales of Hudson, NY; and his siblings, Lillian, Carol, Leonard and Leon. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
