She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Starken and Katharina Starken (Stelling); her husband John Saul; her sister Eleanor Madsen; and her son Ronald.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Cinquemani of Red Hook, NY and John Saul of Whispering Pines, NC. She is also survived by six loving grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and extended family and friends.
Memorial donations may be made in Herta's memory to the St. John's Reformed Church, 126 Old Post Rd, North, Red Hook, NY 12571.
