He was predeceased by: his parents, Hellmuth Birnbaum and Charlotte Birnbaum (Wilner); his son-in-law James Meddaugh; his sisters, Vera Brembs and Joan Renninger; and his nephew Erik Renninger.
He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Stork; his children, Glen Birnbaum (Dawn) of Rhinebeck, NY, Scott Birnbaum (Kelen Grijalva) of Red Hook, NY and Jennifer Meddaugh of Red Hook, NY; his grandchildren, Brock Meddaugh, Ava Birnbaum and Cara Birnbaum; his stepgrandchildren, Gordon and Stephanie Russell; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Lilliana, Colt and Millie Russell. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Curt's memory to the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 7412 S. Broadway, Red Hook, NY 12571.
