Charles Francis (peppy) F. Fasce Jr. Obituary
Peppy” Fasce, Jr. RED HOOK- Dr. Charles F. “Peppy” Fasce, Jr., 82, of Red Hook, N.Y., passed away on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2018, at his home. Born on May 18, 1936, in Pittsfield, Mass.; he was the son of the late Dr. Charles Fasce, Sr., and Claire (Nesbit) Fasce.
Charles married Gladys Palmer on April 21, 1961 in Albany, N.Y.; Gladys survives at home in Red Hook. Educated at Michigan State University, Dr. Fasce earned his PhD from Albany Medical College in Albany, N.Y. For many years, and until his retirement, Charles worked as the Department Head of Chemistry with Kingston City Laboratory in Kingston, N.Y. Charles was a communicant of St. Christopher’s Church in Red Hook. He was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and served as both a coach and umpire for the Red Hook Little League.
In addition to his wife of 57 years, he is survived by his children, Margaret “Pam” (Henry, Jr.) Kaus of Lake City, Fla., Tracey (Robert) Gaul of Kingston, N.Y., James Fasce of Kerhinkson, N.Y., Anthony W. (Shannon) Fasce of Red Hook, N.Y., Chrys (Wayne Jr.) Zittel of Red Hook, N.Y., and Rebecca Fasce of Red Hook, N.Y.; his siblings, William (Nancy) Fasce of Fenton, Mo., and Mary Patricia Fasce of Pittsfield, Mass.; his grandchildren, Michael, David, Cory, Danielle, Andrew, Henry III, Justin, Christian “CJ”, and Daniel; 15 great-grandchildren; along with extended family, colleagues, and friends. A son, Anthony Michael Fasce, and his sister, Mary Pamela Fasce, predeceased him. Friends may call at the Burnett & White Funeral Homes on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2018, from 4 to 7 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2018, at St. Christopher’s Church, Red Hook, N.Y. Burial will be at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Red Hook. Memorial donations may be made in Charles’s memory to the Hudson Valley Hospice, 374 Violet Ave., Poughkeepsie, N.Y., 12601.
