We are sad to announce that on October 9, 2022, at the age of 90, Richard Bror Backlund (Ravena, New York) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Jean Claire Backlund; his son Mark Andrew Backlund; and his grandson Lance Corporal John T. Schmidt III. He is survived by: his children, Guy Richard, Denese Marie Richmond of Orange City, FL and Barbara Ann (Eric Jimenez) of Brookfield, CT; his grandchildren, Chelsea Marie (Chris Bodden) and Blake Richard Richmond of Oviedo, FL.; and his siblings, Robert, Alan and Greta Backlund.
Contributions in his memory may be made to the Ravena Methodist Church, Ravena N.Y. or the Chestnut Lawn Cemetery maintenance fund in New Baltimore, NY.
