He was predeceased by: his wife Frances (Mallinger); his parents, Benjamin and Lillian; and his siblings, Arthur, Shirley Humphrey (John) and Jean.
He is survived by: his children, Mary (Thomas Brooks) and Brian (Susan Farrell-Melick); his grandchildren, Janelle Fuller (Roderick), Jarel Martin (Desiree), Evan and Brianna Melick; his great grandchildren, Soulayah, Jalias, Jasiah, Zorayah and Eliyah; his siblings, Paul Melick (Laura) and Rosemary Sleasman; his siblings-in-law, Madeline Melick and Donald Mallinger; and his cousin Marvin Cohen. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
