We bid farewell to Ann M. Downes of Ravena, New York, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 25, 2025. She was predeceased by: her parents, Florence Hladik (Lorence) and Lawrence Hladik; and her husband Edward Patrick "Pat" Downes. She is survived by: her daughters, Kathleen Emory (Dale), Marie Vanderhyden, Patricia Downes and Lori Anne Morrison (Marc); her grandchildren, Kevin Curdgel, Amber Riling (Joseph), Allecia Vanderhyden, Dale Emory Jr. and Hope Emory; and her sisters, Cathy Parry (Ronald) and Antonette Murphy (Jack). She is also survived by four great-grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Patrick's Church (21 Main St, Ravena, NY 12143). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at the St. Patrick's Cemetery.

“Ann was a lovely & kind lady who often joined the "Counter Culture" for breakfast @ The Silver Spoon Cafe & was active with the Senior Projects of Ravena. Her little white KIA w/ the red roof was often seen at Coeymans Landing where she read & watched the wildlife, especially the beautiful solitary swan. I had known Ann for quite some time before we both realized that I had actually "dormed" with a distant relative of hers @ U Albany. Ann was a quiet, gentle person. I will miss her. RIP!”
